Let me preface this by saying Larry David is a genius. In this way I can relate to him. Geniuses like ourselves draw inspiration from situations like these and turn them into classic parodies. This right here is way too easy for the comic genius that is Larry David. A prominent figure like Al Gore who has vulnerable characteristics for satire to begin with, could it really be any easier?

This is like when Brett Favre let Michael Strahan have the sack record, and the New Orleans Saints the ‘NFC Championship.’

And Cheryl David (Larry’s TV wife) being the environmentalist that she is, leaves a serious conflict of interest that would create more tension between the two than there would be if Larry had run into Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

My prediction for the opening episode is Larry rolls into the driveway with a Hummer while Cheryl is watering flowers. Walks out of the thing with his confident strut and puts his arms toward the Hummer staring at Cheryl and utters ‘Huh!? Look at that thing!’ Cheryl pouts ‘Larry!’-‘What!’-‘What happened to the Prius?’-‘The Prius? We got a Hummer now! Didn’t you always want a Hummer?’-‘Noooo!!! I’m part of the EPA.’ And that’s when shit gets haywire. ‘Oh, oh, yeah like me having a Hummer is going to destroy the environment.’ Cheryl goes on about facts how Hummers emit CO2, and are the worst cars for the environment. Larry rebuttals, ‘Yeah, while you guys go on speaking about ‘Inconvenient Truths,’ you go from city to city in private plans that pollute the earth a lot more than my Hummer!’-‘Whose you guys?’-‘You know, you, Al Gore.’-‘Al Gore?’-‘Yeah Al Gore.’

Then in the closing scene a plane crashes onto the street while Larry and Cheryl are driving in the Hummer, they swerve the car and fall into a nearby lake, miraculously land on all four wheels while the Prius in front of them went underneath the water after it had fell in, and the couple in the car swim out of it and they comically tread the water and they all sit below the big mess the plane crash has created. The scene closes with Larry looking at Cheryl with an ‘I told you so’ look and they cut to the music.
